Here's the guys hooking up the spreader belt. This keeps the ends of the trailer from being spread apart while the wheels get twisted and contorted while moving the boat. Also just simply keeps the boat where it's supposed to be. ON THE TRAILER!
The boat getting hooked up to the trailer
Here's the guys hooking up the boat to the trailer for the move to the water.
Just starting to move...
Here's the boat just starting to leave it's resting spot for a LONG winter. It's great to see it in motion!
Making a tight turn out of my isle..
Here's the boat making a tight turn to get out of my isle and to find it's way to the travel lift.
Driving the boat through the yard
Mid way through the storage yard at Southport Marina Kenosha.

Here's the boat making it's final leg of the trip through the storage yard and to the travel lift.
Our First video back on the water!
This was our first video of our trip down to Chicago. Just a quick look around the boat, checking out the bow, spray, wake and back to the bow...
THe Avanti Dash...
Just a quick shot of the dashboard.
Underway, Making way to Chicago & Maxim Magazine
Here we were cruising as I took in a video overview of all that was going on. My buddy was in the cabin sending a text, the Maxim UFC Round Girl was laying on the table looking great, the radar was running, and the boat ran perfectly! A very cold trip down the lake however. I was wearing a winter coat to stay warm!
Not sure I realized the camera was running
I think I meant to take a picture. The camera must have been on video mode after I thought I took a picture.
Making our way down the Chicago River through the pretty section of the channel
Here we are making our way through the Chicago River on our way to the Calumet Saginaw River. I have to admit this section was kind of pretty with the limestone walls and so much green growth lining the rivers edge. Such a perfect setting and so much better than all the industry lining the river closer to Chicago.
John Explaining the Nema Cable
These two guys were nice enough to give me a ride up past chicago to Belmont Harbor where I could get a quick cab ride to the Ravenswood Metra stop so that I could get back to Kenosha where we left my Car. LOGISTICS are such a bitch when moving a boat! Especially when everyone is already committed elsewhere! But here he was explaining his radio system built by RayMarine.
Just a quick sample of how rough it was
The ride on our way to Belmont Harbor was a bit rougher and longer than we expected. The ride was very rough, and most people probably would have lost their cookies. However, it was still fun to get out on another boat yet for more boating! Thanks John and Victor for the ride! Have a great season in Belmont Harbor!
