Be Aware it takes about 4-6 weeks for the Coast Guard to issue a licence once all your paperwork is done. The paperwork has really grown as well. You need a physical ( about a 9 pg form).  The basic paperwork filled out.  A twic card takes 2-6 weeks.  A drug test with the results.  sea service forms filled out and signed by the boat owner.  All this takes time and That dosen't include the Class time as well as getting the Certificate.  Don't forget first aide and Cpr cards that are current.  Easy items include letters of recommandation.
